Setting goals is like sketching out plans for our future, kind of like having blueprints for a house. If you're just throwing together a shed, you might wing it. But if you're dreaming big, you need detailed plans. Anyone who's aimed high and mapped out a plan has probably hit some bumps and setbacks along the way. I know I have.
Here are 5 reasons why goal setting
might not work out:
Our Limiting Beliefs - Sometimes we doubt ourselves and haven't tackled our mental roadblocks.
Lack of Enjoyment - Fun should be part of the journey. If it feels like a drag, we won't stick with it.
The Process Got Stale - Doing the same thing over and over can kill our excitement.
Premature Defeat - When we mess up our schedule or hit a setback, we often throw in the towel too soon.
Our Goals Have Changed - Sometimes we want to head in a different direction, but we haven't had that heart-to-heart with ourselves yet.
These are some of the big ones. If you spot any of these in your way, just steamroll right over them!
